Communion - This will take place on 4thJuly in the main lounge at 10.30am. If in the future you have any favourite hymns, then please let us know and we will try and arrange these for future services. 

Chiropodist – Caroline , the chiropodist will be visiting the Home next in August, but if you need her services before then, please do let us know and we  will arrange a separate visit.

Hairdresser – Lynne our long term hairdresser visits the home every Wednesday, if you would like your loved one/relative to be seen by Lynne that please let a member of staff know.  

Fitness - Emma, a qualified fitness instructor visits the Home every Wednesday morning for gentle armchair exercises.

Activities- We have planned the following activities for July with Anne. Occasionally these do alter so please look out on the notice board for any changes, please see weekly notices for what she is doing.

Wednesday 5th    Chairobics (am), hairdresser and pampering

Saturday 8th TV / Movies

Sunday 9th    - Tom’s birthday

Monday 10th  - Activities with Anne, “Herbs”

Tuesday 11th -  Painting

Wednesday 12th  - Chairobics, hairdresser

Thursday 13th – Summer crafts    

Friday 14th   – Reminiscence

Saturday 15th   – Relaxation

Sunday 16th     - TV / Movies

Monday 17th    - Activities with Anne, baking

Tuesday 18th   -  Arts and Crafts

Wednesday 19th – Joyce’s birthday

Thursday 20th –. Cream teas and outdoors games

Friday 21st – film afternoon

Saturday 22nd – Dominos

Sunday 23rd   - TV / Movies

Monday 24th  - Activities with Anne - Quiz

Tuesday 25th -  Painting

Wednesday 26th - Chairobics, hairdresser

Email  - While I appreciate that I already do liaise with some family members by email for either monthly updates or general queries, if this as a family member is something that you would like to happen then please let my self (Chris) know and I can contact you via email with updates or any relevant news. If you would like to continue to receive our Newsletter by email then please let me know, also if you would prefer not to I will make note of this.

Care Plans - If any relatives would like to discuss the Care Plan for their family member or any aspect of the care provided, then please either speak to the Manager or a Senior Carer and we will be more than happy to go through this with you.

 

Birthdays - It would appear that July is a busy month on the Birthdays front within the home, we have Anne on the 4th, Tom on the 9th and Joyce on the 19th so a busy month for cake baking in the kitchen!!

 

Photo’s on the website - If any family member would like copies of any pictures that we put up on the web site then please let me know.

 

Recommend us – If you have access to the Internet, we would be grateful if you would ‘recommend us’ on the carehome.co.uk website, further information can be found by the visitors book near the entrance. We would like to say”thank you” to those who already have.

Great North Run - Chris the Manager is doing the Great North Run in September, he is raising funds for St Catherine’s Hospice, and any sponsorship would be greatly appreciated.

Summer Fayre - We are having our Summer Fayre on the 30th August from 2-4pm, look out for posters for further details.

Good bye and Good luck - We would like to wish Ruth our domestic supervisor all the best as she is moving onto pastures new, Ruth who ahs been with the Home for many years is leaving at the end of July.

Congratulations – we would like to wish congratulations to Jo, who is getting married!!

Cream teas – On Thursday 20th July Anne is having Cream teas and afternoon games – everyone is welcome to attend.
